Photo Booth Operator

HAVE FUN, GET PAID!

We are hiring event attendants as our photo booth bookings pick up. We are primarily a wedding photo booth services but are not limited to the occasional cooperate event or birthday party.

Responsibilities:
- Transporting equipment from Envision HQ to and from events. (HQ in Auburn).

- Setting up photo booth equipment at the event (not difficult/no experience needed!).

-Running a photo booth at events, interacting with guests, making sure people have fun! (the best part!)

Qualifications:
- Based in or near Auburn/Skaneateles NY, and event travel radius within an hours drive.

- Weekends (Fri.-Sun.) availibitly -Dependable Vehicle to drive

-Pay $200-$250 per event -Tips (Avg. $50)

-Shifts between 6-10 hours - Reliable, professional, & friendly.

- Lift 50lbs.

Seeking a high-energy individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, computer knowledge including Excel, Word, and QuickBooks, and ability to multitask. Customer relations experience is a must. Valid driver's license and transportation required.

 

Hours:  30 – 35 hours per week; Monday – Friday 10 AM – 4 PM; Weekends in December and evenings when necessary for meetings and Chamber events. 

 

Job Description:

 

RETAIL:  All aspects of maintaining a retail space. Includes: ordering merchandise, balancing cash drawers, making deposits, supervising summer staff and volunteers, greeting and assisting customers in purchases, answering customer questions, gift certificates sales, ordering merchandise, taking inventory, and cleaning (vacuum, dust, windows, etc.) 

 

TOURISM:  Answer questions via phone, walk-ins & e-mail requests.  Guide customers in trip planning (accommodations, attractions, meals, etc.). Maintain brochure racks (office and information centers). Organize and set up tourism meetings with partners when requested. Represent the Chamber at the Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance literature exchange. Work with motor coach tour operators. Promote local and regional destinations. Promote and send out the weekly events schedule. Maintain lodging availability list. Extensive knowledge of tourism assets in Skaneateles, Syracuse, and Finger Lakes Region. 

 

CHAMBER EVENTS: (Downtown Passport, First Friday, Curbstone Festival, Dickens Christmas, Business After Hours, Ribbon Cuttings, Fall Fest, and Witches Walk) 

Provide support to the Executive Director. This includes updating the website calendar and event page, supervising staff and volunteers, collecting and recording funds, soliciting sponsors, and attending committee meetings. 

 

NON-PROFIT EVENTS: Sell tickets, provide administrative support to non-profit boards, attend meetings when necessary. Nonprofits include Finger Lakes Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society, Creamery, Rotary, Arts Council, Skaneateles YMCA, Figure Skating Club and Youth Hockey, School Teams, Concerts, Plays, Community Center, Garden Club, Fire Department, Winter Fest, Baltimore Woods, and more. 

 

WEB SITE: Skaneateles.com: Add new members, train current members on use of the business directory, events module, hot deals, maintain calendar of events, process information requests and online orders. Actively pursue members who are not using the business directory to help them use it to their full potential and sell enhanced listings when appropriate. Set up new cottage listings. Sell banner ads on skaneateles.com.

 

OFFICE ADMINISTRATION: Solicit new members, process new members, prepare past due invoices for dues, outdoor directory, enhanced listings, and phone book. Prepare cottage invoices. Record and deposit payments. Process and pay gift certificates. Recruit and train volunteers. Send a weekly email (The Skinny) and maintain the postage meter. Attend meetings with and in the absence of the Executive Director. Proof newspaper and program ads. 

 

COMMUNITY DIRECTORY: Assist with processing changes and new listings, assist in proofing directory. Sell advertising to Chamber Members. Unload pallets of brochures, deliver brochures. Attend the annual FLTA brochure exchange to further distribute the directory.

 

PHONE BOOK:  Attend committee meetings, work with the printer on design, sell new yellow page ads, follow up with previous advertisers, proof yellow pages, update white pages. Deliver new books. Assist on mailings.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS:  Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask, effective communication skills ~ both written and verbal, customer service experience, computer proficiency ~ Canva, Constant Contact, and social media skills, general office skills, budget management skills, effective goal achiever, critical & creative thinker, and collaborative abilities. Applicants should have the ability to lift moderate weight.

 

Education: Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

 

Salary and Benefits:  

~Between $17 - $20 per hour based on experience

~3% SEP IRA matched contribution

~2 Weeks Paid Vacation

~5 Paid Sick Days

~Potential for commissions with advertisement sales
